Today was a good day. I got to start my day with breakfast with a dear friend. We’ve been trying to connect for either lunch or breakfast and it’s been one thing after another to not be able to. So, we finally just set it and it happened. We met at Harley’s and enjoyed pleasant conversation, delicious food and some laughs. I had never eaten at Harley’s so I didn’t know what to expect. I hear good things about the place but had not experienced for myself. It did not disappoint. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and a biscuit. Oh, and coffee! What’s a word above delicious? Scrump-dilly-ump comes to mind. Anyway, I am grateful for moments like these. Take time for others. Learn about others. Do for others. The return is good for your heart. I am reminded what Proverbs 27:9 says, “Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.” Let your heart be happy, mine sure is.
