We chose to travel to Amarillo this trip and had such a good time. Everyone keeps asking why we chose Amarillo…we say, why not? We haven’t spent any time there before and it is not too far from home. We ate some awesome food, shopped in some cool and not-so-cool stores, binged Your Honor, ventured to the Cadillac and Bug Ranch, visited a farmers market in Canyon and “hiked” at Palo Duro. We visited Golden Plains church of Christ and we were so blessed by attending there. They are such a friendly and welcoming congregation.

Kim was the first one to make a purchase on this trip. We visited thrift stores all along the way. We stopped in Yukon, Weatherford, Elk City, Clinton and Sayre.

Then, I made a purchase. AND, I am lovin’ my new boots. They are super comfy and so me!!! This is a cute little boutique in Clinton, Paisley Jane.

We got settled in and it was time for mid-week Bible study so we ventured off. We needed some groceries and found Walmart after and this is what it looks like when you have friends that love to make fun of you…for just being you. I have a sling bag I carry for handsfree shoppin’ and then a larger bag I carry for all my other necessities and put the sling bag in if need be. They thought it was so funny.

Our first day out and about was nice. We walked in and out of lots of places. Prices were a bit steep but we were still able to find some deals.

We made our way to the Cadillac Ranch…kinda’ less than impressive but we didn’t really know what to expect. It was neat though.

Now, Palo Duro Canyon was absolutely breathtaking. I had no clue something like this was in TX. We got out and walked a few trails and the weather was perfect.

After morning worship, we had to go see what the hype was about at The Big Texan. It was a neat place to dine. Afterward, there is a bug ranch on the side of the road and we drove over there to take some photos.

We were able to get everything to fit in the car and we were off en route home. Until next year…
