First week of school is in the books. We’ve started a week of lasts for our G!! This will be a great year though. We will enjoy every bit of it. His last first scrimmage is this Friday and we are really looking forward to it.

It’s gonna be a busy week with volleyball games and tournaments, but it is gonna be so worth it. We will be in Shawnee, Stillwater and Hennessy this week. The girls are practicing really hard and working well with each other. I am really excited for this season.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak at our ladies’ brunch and let me be the first to say, I did NOT want to do it!!! Who am I? What could I possibly have to say that these ladies would want to sit and listen to? Up until the time I arrived, my thoughts were not good ones. I asked God to just give me peace and let me say what I had prepared and then sit down. He did just that. It went fine and the comments that have come my way, are very humbling.

You just never know what someone may need to hear at just the right time. Bite the bullet and do something out of your comfort zone. I can have direct, frank conversations on the daily, but to stand in front of a group of peers and older women much more wise, that’s a different feeling all together! I say all this to say, let your light shine! He gave it to us to use…all the time no matter the circumstances-even when you don’t want to!

Make this a fantastic week. Busy or not, it’s what you make it. YOU control YOU!!! Be happy! Be friendly! Be patient! Be Godly! Be compassionate! Be kind! Be forgiving! Even if you don’t want to be…make yourself, you will feel better!
