veggies
It was a rainy weekend so gardening didn’t really happen Saturday BUT, Hubs had gathered some veggies through the week and he made a delicious gumbo for supper last night. I wish y’all could have smelled it.
Today was a good day. Woke up early because youngest had his 2nd day of Driver’s Ed…how that is possible, I just can’t wrap my head around. Anyway, while he was doing that, Hubs and I ran around. When we got back, the garden needed extra TLC since it has been awhile since we have
Cinnamon pickles. Who has ever heard of these? Not me! Well, Hubs has fond memories of eating these when he was growing up. Since we are gardeners now, I use that term loosely, he decided he wanted to try making them. He did… They are very pretty to gaze upon. I will leave it there.
Fresh from the garden…they were delish!!!
Today was very hot and muggy but with a breeze. We have had a ton of rain and haven’t been able to weed the garden so today was the day. We all got out there and got to work and it looks a ton better. Hubs planted some more squash, carrots, okra and snap peas.
Y’all it’s starting to come right on along…
We started our morning off in the garden. We all went and worked together and got the weeds pulled rather quick-like. We are starting to have some good growth. We are starting to see squash, watermelons, cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. The Brussel sprouts and cantaloupes are slow-go. Must have patience though…
