Tonight was the Timothy Hill fundraising supper. This is a time to help raise funds to support the ranch. Well, since our senior trips are mission oriented, last year and now this year, I have invited the seniors that are going on the trip to attend, along with their parents. This is a great way to find out about the ranch and hear about the works they are doing for the younger folks.

Thaddaeus Hill, the Executive Director at Timothy Hill always speaks and recognizes people with service awards. Well, low and behold tonight, in awe and shock and whatever other adjectives you can find to describe shock, I was called for the being strong and courageous award. WHAT? Did he really just say my name? Little ole’ me??? No way!! I am sure I looked so ridiculous as I made my way to the stage. I really could not believe what was happening. Y’all! I do not do what I do for any kind of accolades. I do what I do because I love the Lord and the kiddos I am fortunate enough to teach and interact with on the daily. If I can show Jesus through that, then that is enough. I was very honored to be honored for this.
